ELYSBURG – To show appreciation to veterans in the 107th District for their service to the United States, Rep. Kurt Masser (R-Columbia/Montour/Northumberland) is hosting a Veterans Appreciation Breakfast in the Elysburg Fire Company’s social hall on Friday, Nov. 9, beginning at 8 a.m.

Breakfast will be served from 8-9:30 a.m. The Elysburg Fire Company is located at 1 E. Mill St. Veterans in the 107th District and their spouses are invited to attend.

“We want to show our appreciation to the veterans in our area who at one point in time served to defend our nation,” Masser said. “These men and women deserve to be thanked and appreciated every day. This breakfast is our way to thank them for all they’ve done and remind them we serve as a local resource.”

Pre-registration is required for this event. Veterans who would like to attend should call Masser’s district offices at 570-648-8017 or 570-275-3700 by Nov. 3 to register.

Representatives from the offices of Veterans Affairs from Montour and Northumberland counties will be present to assist veterans at this event.

Masser additionally hosts monthly veterans assistance hours at his district office in Elysburg on the first and third Wednesdays of each month from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
