ELYSBURG – State Rep. Kurt Masser (R-Columbia/Montour/Northumberland) on Wednesday, Oct. 2, will not offer his regular bi-weekly veterans assistance hours at his Elysburg district office.
“Our district office staff can still help with a variety of veterans-related issues, but we won’t be hosting the special outreach hours,” Masser said.
The veterans assistance hours will resume as scheduled two weeks later on Wednesday, Oct. 16.
Masser’s Elysburg office, located at 467 Industrial Park Road, hosts veterans assistance hours on the first and third Wednesdays of each month.
Masser hosts the outreach effort with help from staff from the Northumberland County Veteran’s Affairs Office. Those staff will be away for mandatory training on Wednesday, Oct. 2.
“We’re so grateful to have the staff from the Northumberland County Veteran’s Affairs Office come and help our veterans in our district office two Wednesdays each month,” Masser said. “We understand they have ongoing training responsibilities, and that’s something we obviously support. We look forward to resuming this important outreach initiative for veterans on Oct. 16.”
Masser’s Elysburg office is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 am. to 4 p.m. Veterans and other residents can call his office by dialing 570-648-8017 or toll-free at 855-271-9386, visit his website at RepMasser.com

Masser also operates a Danville office, located in suite 1 of the Danville Borough Building at 463 Mile St., that is open Mondays and Thursdays from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Veterans and other residents can contact that office by dialing 570-275-3700.
“We appreciate the sacrifices made by our veterans and their families,” Masser said. “These veterans outreach hours are just one way we try to serve our veterans in an effort to show appreciation for their service to our nation.”
