8/1/2017
ELYSBURG – In an effort to provide education to interested residents about Pennsylvania’s firearms and self-defense laws, Rep. Kurt A. Masser (R-Columbia/Montour/Northumberland) is hosting a Concealed Carry Seminar. This event will be held on Thursday, Aug. 24, from 6-8 p.m., at the Brady Fire Company Banquet Hall, located at 700 Maple St., in Ranshaw.

Due to space limitations, those planning to attend are required to RSVP in advance by calling Masser’s office in Elysburg at 570-648-8017 or in Danville at 570-275-3700.

The seminar will feature Northumberland County District Attorney Tony Matulewicz and Sheriff Robert Wolfe. The presentations will include details about Pennsylvania’s concealed carry laws, as well as the Castle Doctrine – a legal principle stating that if an attacker or intruder in one’s legally occupied home or vehicle intends to do great bodily harm, lethal force may be used to protect oneself or others. The Castle Doctrine has been law in Pennsylvania since 2011.
